Wait for it...

Well folks, it seems Ms. Kayla is in no hurry to join the rest of us out here in the world. She's perfectly comfy and happy in her little womb without a view. She is head down but she hasn't dropped and I haven't dilated at all yet - here at 38 weeks. The dr says if I don't deliver by her due date that he'll induce me - I think I'll give her a few extra days but if she hasn't arrived by Tuesday (the 24th is a Saturday) I'll go ahead with the induction. Seems to me doctors like to rush to that now. I am on a pregnancy chat board and about 75% of the ladies who have delivered already were induced and only a couple of those for medical reasons. Several others have said their doctors will induce whenever the mom wants. Seems a little extreme to me - whatever happened to waiting until 42 weeks? Yes we're uncomfortable and anxious and excited to meet our little ones but give 'em a break - if they want to hole up inside for a few more days what's wrong with that? I didn't ask... maybe I should.

Anyway - just a heads up that nothing is happening. :) Which is fine by me. I have a whole pregnancy scrapbook to work on and if I don't get it done beforehand I don't know if I ever will - especially if this blog is any indication. So, until Kayla decides she's ready - I'll just be hanging out here in the office working on the book.
