I'm 5 weeks!

Hey! It's Kayla. I snuck on here while mommy was taking a nap. I had a very exciting 5th week - got to go on 2 field trips! On Sunday I went to a friend's 1st birthday party where there were LOTS of people and plenty o' sun and warm weather. And I was so good for mommy - was awake the whole 2 hours we were there and didn't hardly fuss. I'm so proud of myself. And then on Thursday mommy took me to her work - where I met even more people including two funny looking guys who held me a lot. Mom says they are her bosses but I think they are clowns. :)

I did scare mommy (which isn't hard to do) by sleeping a lot the day after the birthday party. It just wore me out I guess and I needed to catch up on my zzzz's. I don't know why she's complaining though - that meant she got a whole night's worth of sleep. I did sleep through the night a couple times this week - well, not the whole night but 4 or 5 hours and I think that at 5 weeks that's pretty good. I do make lots of noises that make mommy get up and come check on me but that's just my way of letting her know I'm still around - I think that's pretty nice of me.

I think I might need to go on a diet though, I have gained 2 pounds in the last 5 weeks - I now weigh 9 lbs 12 oz - and some of my clothes are starting to get tight. But I think that's okay because I saw mommy putting away lots of clothes that I haven't worn yet. And, I get to go up to the next diaper size which is a good thing b/c like the clothes, the diapers are getting a little snug and I don't know if you've ever had on diapers that were too tight but they are sooo not comfortable.

I didn't get to go outside much this week because it got cold again but I hope we get to go on more walks this coming week - it's so nice to get some fresh air. Plus I think it's funny to hear mommy talking to me in public - since I don't talk back I'm sure people think she's talking to herself.

This week Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa Bob are going to be in town - I can't wait to meet them. Oh, I hear mommy waking up so I better go. It was fun talking to you!
