If that's not a random title I don't know what is. But, that's exactly the thought that ran through my head today.
Peas on her toes, prunes in her hair! For breakfast she got prunes - later we noticed she had some remnants in her hair. Then I fed her peas at Target and noticed a few minutes later that she had them on her toes. The girl is getting used to eating, and we're getting used to feeding. It's definitely some messy stuff and she hasn't even started to feed herself yet! But boy can she make a mess! At least she's getting different types of food all over the place. :) I've moved on to feeding her different types of stage 2 foods - so far it's only been Sweet Potatoes and Corn. Then I switched to those banana cereal puff things. Tomorrow I think I'll try mangoes. (Boy do I have mommy brain - all week I thought I was giving her mangoes, until I noticed I still had the 4 mango jars and only 3 sweet potato and corn jars. No wonder it didn't taste like mangoes!) Then we'll give yogurt melts a whirl! How exciting to be a baby these days and get to try all kinds of different things. How stressful it is to be a parent these days and having to watch for an allergic reaction every single day of her life! ha ha ha.
18 different ways to carry her! Last weekend we went to Best Buy, Costco, Victoria Gardens mall and Target- and in each place I carried her a different way. At Best Buy we used the Bjorn, Costco was the grocery cart seat, Victoria gardens she was her stroller (in the front of her stroller - for a little while till I had to break out the Bjorn again) and then Target she stayed in her car seat because she had fallen asleep. Today, we had 2 errands - Target and Costco - and again I used 2 different things - to grocery cart at Costco and the Baby Bjorn at Target. Who knew there were so many ways to cart your kid around? At least I'm getting use out of everything. The Baby Bjorn is borrowed, by the way... it's handy but I'm still getting used to putting it on and getting her in it so it's not exactly quick. And since she's now 20 POUNDS! it's only used for short periods. :) One of the Stroller Strides leaders is letting me borrow her's because Kayla is still getting used to being in the stroller the whole time. When she starts to act up I whip out the bjorn and then I can carry on with the work out without her crying. But one day soon she's just going to have to tough it out in the stroller.
So, folks, that's it - that's our life right about now - baby food and errands. :0 Gotta love it!
P.S. I just realized that the plural of mango is mangoes. Thanks Google spell check!
