Two Month Tyler

We've made it another month!  And our little boy is growing!

He now weighs 11 lbs and is 22.5 inches long, which means he's gained 4 lbs and grown 3.5 inches!

He's still wearing newborn clothes, the 3 month ones are definitely too big as are most of the 0-3 clothes. The newborns are quite snug but it's easier to hold him and rub is back in clothes that fit too tightly than clothes that are too loose.  Hope he doesn't mind!

He's finally no longer jaundiced, as of about 7 weeks old (he's now 9).  That made SUCH a difference!  He was a whole new kid after that point.  He woke up, he started making different facial expressions, he smiled, he cooed and gooed and ahhhed (all of which are super cute to hear!).  He's definitely more engaged now.

He's tracking things with his eyes, when he feels like it.  :-)

He's a big fan of the giraffe on his play mat - thinks it's hilarious.

We've put a rattle or two in his hands and he's so good at holding on them.  He even held on to the monkey on his play mat for a while this afternoon.

He likes  (or at least liked it today) when you play motor boat with his lips.

He seems to enjoy his baths - at least he doesn't cry during them... just afterwards when Eric's trying to dry him off.  :-)

He seems to like his sister, when she's not trying to step on his head, smack him in the face with a plastic shovel, or kneel on him.  When she comes over and sits by him or talks to him he looks at her, and occasionally smiles.  Better than the concerned look he had for a while.

He's getting better at being by himself for a little while, calmed by the swing or entertained by the play mat.

He usually smiles as he's drifting off to sleep - not always but sometimes and it's super cute when he does!

Sometime in the last few weeks he's stopped crying and grunting as much.  Not sure why that is, what we figured out, or what happened to him, but whatever it is I am enjoying it.  He really only cries when he's super tired or hungry... or ya know, when he gets shots.  I'm sure Eric will disagree because there have been some nights when he can't be calmed down but he's generally not a crier.

Eric say's he's a little lighter sleeper than Kayla was, maybe.  But once he gets into a deep enough sleep he sleeps well - especially at night when he goes down around 8pm and doesn't wake up until 3 or 4 in the morning.  But during the day, if I don't hold him long enough or we try to move he wakes up.

He still eats every 2 hours (still all breastmilk, which means I made it longer with him than I did with Kayla) and sleeps about every hour to an hour and a half.  Except at night of course.  And, super bonus, he only eats for 10 minutes OR LESS!  How awesome is that?!?!

He loves his pacifiers - we'll see how long he needs them.

Sleeps in a variety of places for naps - I try the cradle but if he falls asleep in the car seat or the swing that's where he stays.  Or, ya know, the mat at the park.

Is coming along, slowly but surely and the whole family is excited to watch!
