Good ole 5 months!

That's right, it's been 5 months since Tyler was born.  My how time flies!  He's been a busy boy this month...

...learning how to roll over - front to back and back to front.  Doesn't do it a lot but he's capable.

... liking tummy time more, but it's not a guarantee.  He likes the surf board and to look at the animals on his mat, but not for an extended period of time.

... hanging out, twisting himself around in the bumbo.  But don't you dare put on the tray - he is not a fan!  He gets himself into crazy positions in there though.

... loving paper and plastic.  If he can play with either of those, and hear their cool sounds, he's a happy boy.  Don't take them away though!

... putting his hands in your mouth.  If he can find a way - he does it.  All the time!  Future dentist!

... finding his toes (and his pieces and parts down below.  Seriously.  Can you say "early"!?!?)
... getting the hang of holding the rings in his hands and examining them.  He used to just hold them, now he is actually interested in them.

... smiling and laughing a lot more.  He loves when you eat his tummy or play with his feet (still) and especially loves eating his own feet!

... growing back some of the hair on the back of his head and getting some longer stuff on top, though it's hard to tell.

... "playing" with his sister.  At times, if I put him down next to her, they hold hands or rest their hands on each others legs.  It's probably not on purpose on his part, but it is on hers which is super sweet.

... still sleeping in mom and dad's room (until he's waking up less at night) in a swaddle with a pacifier.   Speaking of which...

... not sleeping through the night.  He seems to be getting worse instead of better at this little skill.  I posted last month that he ate at 11, 3, and 7... well tonight (as an example) he ate at 1030, 1:15, 3:45 and (since I'm writing this portion at 4:44 after that 3:45 feeding) he'll probably wake up again around 5:30 or 6 to eat again.  Talk about annoying!  We was waking up a lot so we moved him to the pack and play which had more room, that worked for a little while.  Then he was waking up often again and we changed his swaddle size so he wasn't busting out so much and that worked for a couple nights.  We gotta get this situated because ever 2-3 hours isn't cool at 5 months old!
... growing into size 3-6 month clothes though some 0-3 still fit (pretty snugly) and the 3-6 month pants are still too big on his waist.  (current weight: almost 15 lbs).

... enjoying the TV.  Kayla did too at this age and we eventually had to cut her off, though that will probably not be the case for him since she now watches cartoons.

... trying out the bottle.  We had a hard time with it in the past but knew he needed to be willing to take one by the time we got to TX so we could have some much needed alone/adult time.  It took a few days but he's finally taking it without much issue.  Now, if only I could pump better.  Pumping sucks!

... working soooo hard on sitting up on his own.  He can do it but only for a few seconds.  If I hold his hands he can sit up for a little while longer but still not long.  A few more weeks and he'll be good.  I think it's his preferred position.

... not getting teeth - it looks like it, and has for a while, but they haven't popped through yet.

... being the most adorable little boy ever with the cutest smile and chunky little legs!
