On the Move

So, it seems 8 months was long enough for Tyler to sit around and watch his sister run circles around him as he has decided to join in on the fun!  He's not crawling but he is scooting, pulling himself forward using his arms.  He's trying to crawl, getting one or two knee movements done before falling flat and using his arms.  He's workin on those biceps.

He doesn't actually cry every time he's scooting... don't know why he was crying this time, probably just frustrated.  He was scooting all over for a few minutes there so maybe he was tired by the time I got the camera out.  :-)
While he's sitting up he can turn himself around in circles - he used to do this while laying on his tummy but he's figured out how to do it sitting up.  He has to be able to move quickly to see Kayla running around!

I knew the more mobile Tyler got the more difficult my life would get because now I have to watch 2 kids going in (most likely) different directions.  Of course we both wanted him to crawl, he is 8 months old after all and you want to see your kids to develop well, but I wasn't pushing it too hard. :-)  But I am glad to see him on the move!  It's an exciting development!
He started over there by the Big Foot and crawled over to see me, about 5-6 feet.
He also loves loves loves to stand up and now he's also slowly move up and down the cradle stand we have in the living room.  You can see if he wants something Kayla has he's reaching, moving, stretching... trying to get it.  But she's quick!  If she's paying attention.

It's cute to see him with so much determination.  He/I was sick all of February and it seemed he wasn't making strides in terms of physical development but he was just laying low (and not feeling well).  He's so much happier now than he had been and I for one and am enjoying my fun little boy.  If he's not crawling in the next few weeks I'll be shocked... unless he's walking and then I'll be, um, whatever word means "more than shocked!"  Stay tuned!
