More Airport Fun

It seems we have been seeing a lot of planes lately.  No idea why... it just happened that way.  The last time was to a local airport in the next town.  It has a cafe that you can eat at and then walk outside and watch the airplanes take off 100 yards away (I made that distance up, but it's literally right in front of you).  So, we set up a field trip with the Luna Club and off we went. 

The kids all had a lot of fun watching the planes but, more importantly, walking running right up to them! 

You can see in this last picture that it's true... ladies do love the pilots!  Look at Soren - he's quite the ladies man.  These three girls (the three amigos) Marissa, Savannah, and Kayla are always running around together and Soren is just trying to keep up.  He just a year younger so he doesn't move quite as quick but it's fun to watch him try.  Who knew all he needed was a plane to get them to come to him.  :-) 

We try, every once in a while, to get a group picture of the kids.  This was one of those days.  And this is what happened...

In case you can't read the steps:

1.  Grab kids

2. Put them in a line and make them hold hands

3.  Get them to look at the camera

4.  Say Cheese!

5.  Watch them run away 37 seconds after step 1.

And it went just about like that.  We tried for a few minutes to get them together, to get them to hold hands, to smile, etc and in the end it was a really cute picture and worth the effort.  Unfortunately, when you tell Kayla to smile she scrunches up her face in what she thinks is a smile.  It's still cute but it's not her super adorable smile that you get when you don't ask her to smile.  But, we'll take it! 

No, hopefully we if I never see another airplane again in my life I'll be okay.  Just kidding.  Sort of.
