Tyler Thursday

This week's new fun fact - Tyler finally has his first tooth at the ripe old age of 9 and half months!  Wow!  That took a while to come in!  And you know what, I can't get a picture of it.  I even tried to take a pic from the videos I took this week where he basically put the camera in his mouth and I still can't get it.  It's a little tiny edge of a tooth but it's a tooth.  And it's helped him eat so much better, just that little bit.  Which is funny.  He's always liked crunchy things but still... he likes crackers, ham, goldfish (though we try to keep those away but he loves them and chases his sister around to get them!), cheese, veggie straws, chicken, ground beef, etc.  And he really prefers if he can feed himself a big ole chunk of food and "bite" off pieces.  Yesterday he shoved a whole chicken nugget in that big ole mouth of his!  But, at least now he's eating the solids. 

Now, since I don't have a pic of the tooth I'll tell you his other "accomplishment" too.  He's working really hard on standing on his own.  He lets go of whatever's holding him up all the time and each time he does it he's standing on his own for longer and longer periods.  It's still just a few seconds but it's something.  He has to - he wants so bad to keep up with his sister!  So we'll see how fast this standing on his own thing comes along... and then the walking!  Oh Lordy!
