We started out with some crayon birthday hats!
followed by some yummy tacos!
At 10am! But the Taco Guy is worth it!
Broke out the crayons. I made coloring pages for the kids - they each had pictures of themselves to color!
Kept them all occupied for a bit.
Kayla, of course, would prefer to color than to eat
What a great picture!
I asked the families to dress in 1 color so we had a lot of blue!
One brave family in white
And a few in red!
More coloring - this time posters and markers. Don't know if you can tell but Kayla's got her leg up on the table. Such a lady!
Tyler getting in on the action - under a watchful eye.
The dessert table.
The cake with the crayon candles!
Cake pops mom and I made
And candy dipped pretzels made to look like crayons!
Happy Birthday to You! Happy Birthday to You!
Happy Birthday dear Kayla! Happy Birthday to youuuuuu!
Make a wish and blow out the candles!
The inside of the cake! It was supposed to be a checkerboard cake but the lines weren't exactly straight. Still a cool looking cake though!
Enjoying one of the lollipops we gave away as favors!
With her BFF Savy!
Kayla and all her presents!
She loved her Dora Candyland!
And Rapunzel barbie
And some fun paint/colors for the bath!
The shirt GG made her! Birthday Princess
Family Pics!
Relaxing after a long weekend with a movie and some popcorn on their new bean bag chairs!
It was a pretty fantastic birthday party. Perfect weather. Mostly handmade desserts. Kids were focused on the activities - no drama. Not even any fighting over crayons (that I know of). And no real mess with the paint! Woo hoo! Kayla was in good spirits the whole time (of course!) Actually, while she was eating her cake, when I came over to check on her she said (all on her own, no prompting by anyone) "Thank you mommy for the best cake ever!" That just melted my heart! So, yea, perfect! And she got some pretty rockin gifts. Lots of crafts, barbies, and $$$. What more could she ask for??
She's an awesome little girl and she deserved an awesome party! Glad she got it!
