Kayla's Mother's Day Gift
While she's too young to actually get me anything she did surprise me by sleeping through the night Sunday night and Monday night without a pacifier and without cereal in her bottle. And by sleeping through the night I mean 8pm - 6am. Well - almost 6am. She did wake up early - 5:45am. Last week I tried putting cereal in her bottle to help keep her fuller longer but she just woke up every day at 2am. So, on Sunday I didn't give her any cereal and it turned out to be a great night so I think we're done with the cereal. Yesterday she woke up starving and crying - today she woke up quite nicely and didn't get a little snack until 6:15.
I don't know - her sleeping through the night but waking up early doesn't do me any favors b/c if this continues I have to wake up earlier to be sure I'm ready before she wakes up. Today I was still in my robe with wet hair and Eric was asleep. But, if this continues it means she moves in to her own room soon which is kind of a sad big step... for me.
Anyway - it's fantastic that she's sleeping through the night - and if it means I have to wake up 15 minutes earlier but I get almost an hour with her in the morning - I'll take it! The things mothers will do! Who needs sleep! :)

ReplyDeletedon't get sad about the big move. it's good for both of you! and consider it more exercise. maybe you can count it towards your walking challenge.
