19 weeks

This week has been interesting. Nothing too exciting... working on changing things. She's decided she doesn't want to sleep in the swaddle anymore... Sunday night was the last night. I tried on Monday and she wouldn't keep her hands in long enough for me to get it on her. So, now I just wrap it around her waist to keep her warm and let her flail. :) She normally ends up on her side or her stomach. She still wakes up during the night... some kids sleep throught the night early some take their time... I'm not exhausted during the day and she's not up for hours so I'm not too worried about it.

She's also decided she doesn't like the rice cereal. I've tried to feed it to her pretty much every night and she closes her mouth and turns away or if I do manage to get it in there she sticks out her tongue and gags. It can't be that bad... but I'm not about to taste it. We had to take her to the dr today b/c her face got really red and splotchy and a little swollen (turned out to just be dry skin that she aggravates by rubbing it) and the dr said that she's probably just not ready for solids. So, I'll try every few days and eventually she'll like it. She wants our food... and our drinks... and anything else that's on the table but just not her own cereal.

She's beginning to know things - like her bottle and that her bedtime massage is coming. And she's slowly starting to stay awake longer. Some nights are longer some are the usual 2 hours... slow going. :) And she's absolutely grabbing EVERYTHING! Anything that comes anywhere in her line of site - and even sometimes not in her line of site - it's in her hands instantly and then in her mouth shortly after that. We can't eat hardly anymore w/o her moving our plates and glasses, knocking the mail off the table, grabbing our fork... makes meal times more interesting.
