The difference

So today, our first day home, I was relaxing on the couch (and the chair and the patio) while Tyler slept and Kayla ran around (with Rita and Eric chasing after her).  Kayla's not that old but she is, comparatively.  It's so interesting to see the differences between them and within them.  Kayla's been really hyper since Tuesday, constantly running around and yelling and laughing.  She's been pretty well behaved, though she is getting away with more with Gammy than she does with us.  (But that's what grandparents are for right?)  She's very interested in Tyler, wants to put stickers on him, wants to hold him and see him and watch him.  But, watching her play around today, her dexterity, her intentions and desires, is so fascinating.  It's not like she knows THAT much more this week than she knew last week but maybe I just have the opportunity to watch her more now.  Whatever the reason, it's fascinating.  I love watching her, seeing how she interacts with people, see how much she loves her daddy, see how determined she is to do certain things.  She's growing and learning more each day - I'm just glad that (for now) I have the time to sit and watch it happen.  That will soon come to an end I assume but I'm going to enjoy it while it lasts.
