When we were trying to figure out when Nana should come for a visit we both agreed that after Eric went back to work would be good - it would give me a little more time before I was completely on my own. Then, after Rita left when Tyler was just over a week old I thought to myself "Man, mom should have come this week since I still can't really do much with Kayla or around the house. Oops!" Not a whole lot I could have done about that so, moving on. Turns out, she came at a perfect time. She was still working while she was here so she was taking conference calls and working on the computer during TX work hours, meaning 6:30am - 3:30pm here. She had/took some breaks and wasn't on conference calls the whole time, but generally she was busy unless I went ballistic with the kids and needed her help. Thankfully, I didn't go ballistic. But it was a nice transition week from having Eric around all the time to being alone all day.
So, when she wasn't working - what'd we do? Well, she entertained the kids while I sat around. Ha ha ha. Just kidding. Being the Nana, of course she held Tyler
colored with Kayla.
bought Kayla her first sandbox
and played with Kayla at the park.
There is no denying that she is one happy Nana! And Kayla seems to like her too. :-)
And, as an added bonus, Kris was here for the weekend. We didn't get to do much with him but he was nice enough to take a family picture for us. Check it out!
Nana will be back in a couple weeks when Great Grandad and Great Granny Carole come to visit - we can't wait!
