...turns himself around and around while sitting so he can see whatever it is he wants to see.
...gives the best little baby hugs... such a cuddler sometimes.
...loooooves to stand up. Cannot get enough of it. We moved the cradle stand back downstairs so he could use that to stand up on and drug out the musical table way before we got it for Kayla (Grandpa gave it to her for her 1st bday) so he can hang out on that. He loves it - opens and closes the laptop and flips the pages like it's nobodies business.
...doesn't want to pull up, still. He wants to stand, will pull up on me, but not on anything else. But he will push up - that seems to be easier for him.
...doesn't spend a lot of time in his bouncer anymore because then he can't move around.
...loves to watch his sister come down the stairs - turns himself to watch if he's downstairs or starts flailing his arms and legs and rocking his body if I'm carrying him down the stairs in front of her.
... same goes for watching the garage door open - he's fascinated by it.
...can scoot, if he reeeeeeally wants to. And I mean really. But he's doing it. It's possible. Not crawling but at least he's moving.
...is splitting his bath time between the baby bath downstairs and the regular bath up stairs. If I feel like it I'll give him one upstairs, sometimes with Kayla, but it's not an every time occurrence.
...goes to bed every day by 7:30pm, sometimes earlier. He's an early bird. I can usually get him to sleep until almost 7 but 6am is just as likely.
... but he generally wakes up quite happy and is full of laughter first thing in the morning.
...is still not sold on solids. He'll gum bananas, bread, and yogurt melts but try and spoon feed him and you'll get a big fat no! Sometimes we'll get carrots and sweet potatoes down him but that's on a good day, maybe once a week.
...weighs 16.5 lbs. Only gained 1 lb in the last 2 months and the doctor is beginning to get worried. Come on, Mister Tyler, eat those solids!
... he does, however, think hair tastes pretty good. He's always putting it in his mouth! Crazy kid!
...is sleeping on his belly now, nice and comfy... but still waking up multiple times a night. We gotta gotta gotta get this worked out! As in, waking up at 10:30, 2, and 4 and then awake between 6 and 7. It's more of a habit at this point so I just gotta be awake enough at 2 or 4 to get him to go back to sleep without eating.... hard to do!
... loves the wheels on the stroller - likes to see/make them go round and round.
...has been sick off and on for all of February and still has a runny nose. I'm not sure if he's teething or not but his face is all rashy, there's some drool, and there's a lot o' pooping going on so maybe. It'd be nice if my 8 month old finally got a tooth!
...may, just may, walk before he crawls or soon after he crawls...he takes some little wobbly baby steps forward already.
...has been busy exploring the sand while we're spending time at the park. He likes the way it feels in his hands and luckily he doesn't put a lot of stuff in his mouth yet so we're still safe.
...sounds like he's saying "hey, hey, hey" all the time.
...sits in the stroller now instead of the car seat. He looks so small in there but he likes it much better than the car seat.
...takes his pacifier only when going to bed... doesn't really need it any other time... or at least I don't give it to him any other time.
... loves to be naked! What a cute little naked boy!
We're havin fun watching him grow up! Maybe by next month I can announce that he has his first tooth and is actually crawling??? We'll see!
