Um, yea, I'm 11 days late posting Tyler's 11 month post! Man! I'm getting really bad. Here's to hoping I can get better. We shall see.
So, as of 11 months old, Mr. Tyler was/is
... still wearing 6-9 month clothes! Crazy huh? Yea, I've got a small-ish little boy. 9 month clothes are still big on him too! One day he'll grow up and then I won't be able to keep him in clothes!
... loving him some sausage! That's his favorite food. He's pretty good at eating breakfast and dinner, though it's not much, but lunch is questionable.
... because of that he's still nursing pretty often - every 2 hours, sometimes more often, sometimes less, but usually two.
... he's climbing all over the place - up and down stairs, over the sandbox edge, and all over mommy!
... the bottom of his feet are ticklish and if you tickle them he'll raise them up, one after another.
... when he cries he usually puts his hand(s) up to his mouth. Not in, just in front of.
... still loves pulling hair and putting his fingers in mouths. Will he ever outgrow that???
... is into banging his hands on his high chair tray.... guess he loves the sound.
... he also loves the sound of his voice, especially in the bathroom. He's finally moved beyond "eeeee" and now also says "ahhhh" "uh" and if he's tired "da". He loves to say "ah" in the bathroom and hear it echo.
... likes to open and close doors and lids. He likes Kayla's little kitchen as much as she does. Though he prefers the doors and she prefers making us eat things she's cooked.
... he finally has 4 teeth!
... was working on moving from one piece of furniture to another. Not quite walking but sure trying to.
... I'm sure walking on his hands and feet (rather than on knees) when on grass or concrete is helping his walking ability.
... he loves water, so much so that if he finds a cup sitting around the house he's sticking his hand in it or tipping it over.
... he wants whatever we have in our hands, whatever we're eating, drinking, looking at... he wants it.
... he loves to scatter things around - the food on the table, blocks, books, etc.
... wants to be in the bathroom with Kayla and I when she's trying to pee. Thinks it's great to unroll all the toilet paper and see if he can pull anything out of the cabinets.
.... loves to bounce and shake and rock. Bounce houses are great as is the picnic table which he can shake himself. (This is something he's liked for a long time - I used to sit him in his pack and play and he'd move back and forth so it'd shake. ha ha ha)
... has a serious love of cars. Or maybe I'm cultivating that. :-)
... is getting really good at cruising - it's just his favorite thing in the world to do!
... if he's tired or hungry he will not leave you alone. He's crawling up your leg or all over your lap and will not stop!
... now that he's mastered crawling up stairs he can get up into the play structure at the park. Oh geez!
... decided that books are pretty cool. He loves you to read to him, and usually the same book multiple times. Especially liking a book of songs we have or Moo Baa La La La. (Sound familiar?)
... has decided one of his favorite toys is a straw. (also just like his sister!)
... makes a bee line for the stairs when the gate is down and as I go to get him he gets all giddy and tries to crawl quickly but I'm faster. :-) Same goes for crayons - once he sees that I see him with them he stuffs the crayon in there and then starts to scoot away. ha ha ha
... likes to take the rings off the ring stacker but not put them back on. Nope. Not allowed!
... he absolutely loves his daddy. Cannot wait to be picked up by him when he gets home from work.
We're having fun watching his personality develop and his mobility increasing.
(I'm going to add the pictures in a day or two, I just wanted to get the post up!)
