7 Week Itch

Well, she's made it to 7 weeks already! Hard to believe! She's mostly out of her newborn clothes - though the 0-3 month clothes are still a little big but the gigantic diaper helps fill them out. :)

Not a whole lot to report on this week - no new happenings really. We spent our first LONG day together - that was fun. Eric is taking a project management course from 12-8pm 3 Tuesdays a month so that's one day I don't get any help or relief until close to 9pm. But, that's only this week and next week - then I'll be at work and those will just be extra me and Kayla hours. :) But this week we went to the mall and walked around for an hour. She was awake for approximately the first 7 minutes and the last 7 minutes but that's okay - she got the gist of it.

It's amazing how the days just fly by. I mean - all she does is eat, fuss, and sleep - oh and poop - but really there's only a couple free hours (while she's are sleeping - though she is queen of the 5-15 minute cat nap so I can't always count on that time) that I have each day to do anything else. And it just flies right on by. I'll look at the clock and be like - I thought she just ate 5 minutes ago and it's been 2 hours! My grandmother made cakes for my mom's monthly birthdays - I couldn't imagine doing that.

We visited Eric's work for a few minutes - she was really good while she was there - only squealed once. Everyone thought she was so cute - and who are we to argue. :)

I wanted to get into some semblance of a routine for daycare but so far I haven't been able to get up at 5am like I'm going to have to. It's going to be hard in so many ways to go back to work. I'm not completely dreading it but I'm not completely prepared either. Next week I'm going to take her for a 1/2 day and a full day to try to ease her into it. We interviewed several daycares before picking one but now that she's actually here there are so many more questions. I'll have to make myself a list and take it with me that first day.

Yea, so, since it was a slow week I'll keep this one relatively short. No need to write about things that didn't happen. :) Enjoy the new pics- in the 7th week, outfits, and faces albums. Below are the pics from her 7th week album - it goes fast so it might be easier to look at the album, but I thought I'd throw this on here just for the heck of it.

** Updated** I don't know how I could have forgotten our progress this week - she's getting better at holding up her head. She doesn't do it for long but she's definitely getting more control. Here's a picture of me holding her so you can see how good she's getting!
