This week was a little more exciting. Last Friday she started to try to support herself with her arms when laying on her tummy. It doesn't last for long (like with holding her head) but she does try to push up. It's so cute. There's a video even! Her head control is getting better as well. The limbs are still iffy but they aren't quite so uncontrolled. She has found her hand and sucks on it whenever she remembers it's there - not just when she's hungry. :)
On Saturday we went to another birthday party - at a bouncy house - where they have all kinds of inflatables. We bounced a little on the edge of one of them - I'm sure she didn't know what was going on but it was something different for her.
She has grown so much, but she's still really small. Dad figured out that her thigh is only as long as his hand, and I figured out that when I first saw her little heartbeat on the ultrasound - she was only about as big as her fingernail is now - if even that! Crazy!
She definitely likes to get up and move around - doesn't like us sitting around holding her. Well, she does, but she grows tired of it and only quiets down when we move. This has been going on for a while - I'm just a little late in posting about it. I guess that's just her personality - or maybe she's just so used to moving around for 9 months she'd like to continue that. Course that doesn't make a whole lot of sense b/c the last thing I wanted to do while I was big as a whale was move around. :P
She's still sporting crazy hair, but it is getting better. It's now a little thicker even. I bought some cute bow clips but her hair is so fine/thin they have to be readjusted often.
This week she has decided she really hates sleep. She's never really liked it but this week has been especially bad. Lots of crying and longer evenings. Not that I have much to complain about. It still only takes me about 15-20 minutes to get her to sleep, then another 10-15 after that before I can put her down without her waking up. That's a far cry from the hours I could be spending if she had colic. For that I am grateful.
And, finally, I took her to daycare for a couple days this week, to ease the transition - more for me I guess than her. I went with her for a couple hours on Tuesday and then today I dropped her off for about 6 hours while I ran errands. So far we both appear to be doing well. She didn't nap while she was there but that made it a little easier for her to get to sleep tonight - being extra tired. And I am okay - I knew this day was coming and I know I have to work. Course, we'll see how things go on Monday when I'm back at work.
Here's her 2 month pictures- I can't help myself!
