... can crawl just b-e-a-utifully on her own... if she really wants to
... has a big ole cheeser grin
... can play on her own just like all only children learn to do
... will take what she wants, including toys other kids are playing with!
...tried hard to hug her friend, Noah, but when he didn't go for it she just sat in his lap instead! We're going to have problems with this one, I can already tell!
...can crawl over things and into our laps if she tries hard enough
...buries her head when she gets tired, or when she gets excited (you know, either one!)
... takes 4 7 oz bottles (1 less than before) and 4 2oz jars of food a day (1 after each bottle)
...is not a fan of peaches but will eat them reluctantly
...sits in her very own chair to eat dinner
... can hold her own bottle, but doesn't yet hold it through an entire meal.
... loves to pull herself to standing and will stand there leaning against whatever for a while.
... interacts with other babies (and by interacts I mean hits b/c she doesn't know what else to do :) )
...completely zones out when she's tired
...is starting to grow into her sunglasses, but can now also take them off since she doesn't really like them
... doesn't exactly hate her car seat as much as she once did
... now holds both feet when she's lying on her back
... can be dunked underwater in the pool
... no longer has to sleep with her head in the corner, but she does like to sleep against the side of it
... is mommy's workout buddy
...likes to climb in your lap when you sit Indian style, but falls down b/c she doesn't realize there's a hold in the middle (duh!)
...loves water being poured over her head and to stand up in the bath tub (which is a little scary for mom!)
... will follow you into the kitchen but she's more likely to stop just inside the door than she is to come all the way in
...has reverted to having to be patted to sleep since she can now sit up and stand up in her crib (so we hold her down and pat her little butt till she falls asleep!)
... is over 1/2 the length of her crib now
...is basically out of 3-6 month clothes though she does have a couple left
... gets her arms circling really fast when she gets excited
... has only added "da" to her verbal repertoire so far
...has decided the devil must be changing her diaper b/c she screams almost every time and tries to run away! (seriously! who doesn't want clean undies!?!?)
... loves to explore - when a toy leads her to (like when her ball rolls around the side of the recliner and she has to go looking for it!)
... has a brain working overdrive these days - I can actually see it on her face
... is so much fun to watch as she learns and grows!

** edited to add
... can't crawl in dresses - they get in the way - so she tries to jump or hop instead. very cute! can't believe I forgot that one!
I can't believe she can do so many things at just 7 months!!
ReplyDeleteYou're really great at keeping a list of what she's up to!
I love reading about babies who are the same age as my kids. Going through this update reminded me that a lot of Nathan's quirky aren't as quirky as I thought they were. :) And I hear you on interacting = hitting. Nathan loves to be around Kara, and he shows it by clawing at her face. Luckily, she takes it all in stride. :)
