Can I have it?

After months of screaming fits when you took something away from Kayla, she now wants to hand you everything. And after months of taking things out of drawers she now wants to put things back. So, I guess things are coming around here - one day she won't be such a hoarder of her toys. :)

So, we've been practicing this handing off of things for a little while now usually by saying "can I have that" and generally she obliges, though she does normally want the object back pretty soon afterwards. Anyway, one night I came home from work and she was playing with her mini board books that Gammy bought her. I got down next to her and said the obligatory "can I have one?" and she gave me one. Then just to see what she would do I said, "Can I have another?" She looked at me and was all "Okay, fine." Then I asked again, "Can I have another?" And she gave me this look that said "Seriously? I just gave you two? You want a third? Okay, fine." And she handed me a third... and quickly took another one back. :) OMG! I laughed so hard when she gave me that look. Later she was all to happy to give me all 12 of the books, but I guess that first time around she just couldn't believe I'd want more than 2!

It's probably one of those things where you had to be there, but I thought I'd share anyway. Fun times in the Colvin Household!
