A visit from GG and Papa

That's right folks - they came out AGAIN! (for the 5th visit - well, grandpa's 4th, GG's 5th).  And, as you can tell by the post title, we have a new name for Grandpa Bob - Papa.  Grandma introduced Kayla to Grandpa that way when they first arrived.  Not sure if she was planning that all along or if she just came up with it off the top of her head, but however it happened it stuck.  Kayla caught on quickly and added him to the roll call - mama, dada, baby, gg, papa.  Maybe now we're done naming people... maybe.

Anyway - on to their visit!  Now that Kayla's a quite mobile and talkative toddler we had loads of fun.  Unfortunately, I wasn't all that great at taking pictures and Eric had the camera for 1.5 of the days they were here, but we still got some good ones.  We did a lot of hanging out around the house, because who wants to go very many places with a toddler and a baby???  But we were still busy.

Grandma had made Kayla a dress so we spent the better part of a day measuring her (for more clothes) and trying to get a picture in the one she did make.  What a chore!

Of course we played outside - because it is Cali and the rule is - you have to go outside at least once a day!  (No matter how hot it is!)  GG taught Kayla how to drive her cars over hills in the sand...

And Papa taught Tyler, well, um, how to hang out in the shade like a smart person!

Then we put Kayla to work.  She helped make a blueberry crumb cake.  Compliments of My Favorite Everything.

And GG even had her shuckin corn!

And we didn't stop there - we made her she wanted to help with the dishes after dinner!  What do you think - did these dishes get clean in the dishwasher???

We even tried for the elusive picture of Kayla giving Tyler kisses.  It's not elusive because it rarely happens but because it happens so quickly then she's off doing something else.  But we tried.

Could he look more nervous?

This is the best we got.

But, alas, we did venture out one day - out to the Farmer's Market in Claremont.  Maybe not the best idea because it's  a busy market but we got some delicious peaches and at least one good picture!

Check Picasa for more cute ones!
I think it was a pretty great visit!  I always love seeing the great grandparents with the babies!  Up next - Great Grandad and Great Granny Carole and Nana next weekend!
