An explanation for the delay

Man oh man!  We've had a rough start to 2011.  Eric had a weird on and off fever for the 2nd week of January.  I had the same thing the 2nd week.  Kayla then got a strange stomach flu for a couple nights right before her birthday, which I then got the day of her birthday.  Tyler caught a cold a day or two later and was sick for a week, then now I've had that same cold (which has now become a sinus infection for which I started antibiotics tonight) for 2 weeks, and Kayla is the 3rd person in our household to catch that same cold.  It's crazy!

But we've still been busy.  We obviously had Kayla's birthday parties but we also had a Valentine's party, a picnic in the park, a family stroller strides class and touch football game, as well as trips to gymnastics and the dentist in addition to our almost daily trips to the park.  Not to mention the home life - the kids moving to their big beds, Kayla getting a little potty to start potty training, taking her 2 Year pictures, attending Savannah's birthday party, Tyler trying to figure out how to move around (sloooowly), learning how to stand up and learning how to eat solids (also, slooooowly).  Life must go on.  What'd you think - we were gonna sit home and mope?  Not us! 

But I haven't had time to blog much, that's for sure.  Because nights mean early bed times, laundry, and dishes.  Unfortunately, our dishwasher also broke so this weekend we had to buy a new one.  And after doing almost an entire house full of dirty dishes (as in, we had no clean silverware, 4 clean plates, only 1 cup, and no Tupperware or sippy cups) for 2 days I am so glad we bought one.  Holy crap does hand washing dishes suck!  I still have a dishwasher full of dishes that need to be washed too - guess I better do those in the morning in case they come tomorrow to install the new one (like I hope they do!).

Anyway, point being, it's been rough around here and that's why there haven't been many blogs or pictures uploaded.  Trust me that there are plenty to upload and lots to write about.  That might be part of it too.  When it gets overwhelming its hard to find a place to start.  Because not only do I have all the February pictures to upload I still have to upload our Disneyland pictures and her birthday present opening pictures and blogs to write about those things along with a few more I have knocking around in my head.  Every night there's just something else to do.  Maybe one day I'll get caught up. 

So, that's what's happening around here.  Hopefully tomorrow night I'll at least get some pictures uploaded.  Maybe it'll even be the Disneyland pictures.  Wouldn't that be awesome! Until then...
