Seven and seven

Man, I am desperate for titles!  Tyler's 7 months old!  Holy cow!  Well, what can he do?

He is trying to pull himself up to standing.  He wants so bad to be able to.  He can while holding onto my hands but has a little bit of a problem pulling up on anything else.  I think it's a confidence issue.

He's starting to show interest in specific toys.  He'll still take whatever I give him, but you can see him eyeing toys.

He's still not crawling but he wants to climb in my lap and he's starting to lean himself forward enough to get off his little bottom.  And if you put him down on all fours he'll stay there for a minute then plop down to his belly.  I don't know about this one... :-)

He's rolling a lot more but still not as a form of transportation.  And you know what, I'm perfectly find with his immobility.  It's kinda annoying but it's also nice to know that if I put him somewhere he's not going to go several feet/yards away if I turn around for a second.  But I know my days are numbered.

He laughs when his sister laughs... and she likes to make him laugh.  I even put them in his crib together after nap time sometimes so they can play without causing too much trouble.

I got him some sunglasses. He hates when I put them on but doesn't mind them after that. He's super cute in them!

He is out of 3 month clothes, growing out of the 3-6 month clothes, and fully into 6 month, though 6-9 is still big on him and weighs just over 16 lbs.

He still nurses every 2-3 hours a day and is not real receptive to solids regularly.  I try 3-4 times a day but only get about 1 - 1.5 jars down him and that's a struggle.  I offer actual solid foods too - bread, puffs, melts, and apples and bananas in little mesh bags he can chew on.

He still wakes up around 2-3 times a night and then he's up for the day between 7 and 8.  Sooooo annoying!  He only eats at the 2am wake up call and then again at 6 to try to get him to go back to sleep... I'd like to be done with those sometime soon - or at least the 2am one.  We gotta figure this out.

He's now in the crib, in the office.  I wanted them to share a room but it doesn't look like that's going to happen any time soon so for now our office is still an office, with a crib in it.  When we first put him in there he had trouble because he'd roll over and wake himself up (or prevent himself from going to sleep) but he spent a week in there in his car seat because he was also congested and now he seems to be okay.  Only the 2nd night laying in the actual crib.

He naps 2-3 times a day, staying awake for about 3 hours at a time.  If he takes the long afternoon nap it's only 2 in a day, if it's a short afternoon nap then he takes an evening one also and then hits the hay between 7 and 8pm.

If he doesn't have a toy in reach and no one comes to his rescue and he doesn't mind laying there... her plays with his feet.  But he usually minds laying there by himself.  :-)

He's a bigger fan of singing than reading.  If there's a book in front of him (or anything else for that matter) he's got to get his grubby little hands on it.  Back to the singing - he loves the ABC's song.  Always calms him down.  Bigfoot sings too, sort of, so maybe that's why he likes him so much.

He really love textures like the carpet... or my hair!

He's like a dang blind man the way he grabs your face and mouth - like he's trying to feel everything out.

He started playing with dad's hat today.  It's cute to watch him as he gets interested in more things.

And!  His hair is growing... slowly!  Now stands up on end after baths.  :-)

Speaking of which - he loves his baths.  That's just the best part of his day.

I love him!  I love him!  I love him!  He's soooo cute!  I just want to eat his little cheeks!  Love him!
